As opposed to AWA where I made no contact with anyone whatsoever, I actually met and briefly talked with bloggers, forumites, and other strange people at Otakon 2008. I probably didn’t do too much talking though, as I’m generally rather quiet around new people. I almost participated in epic karaoke, but as I was listening to Sora Mimi Cake on SDS’ mp3 player in preparation, they closed the queue ;_; . But it was worth it to see Omo sing JAM’s Skill twice (with such backup as Link and TheBigN). The Best Performance has to go to digitalboy for his energetic rendition of JAM’s Soultaker. I hate to admit it, but I think Wildarms singing Catch You Catch Me and practically admitting to being a horrible pedophile in front of a small group of people was the highlight of Saturday evening.
Other than the JAM Project concert and meeting all these crazies, I’m finding it hard to remember anything particularly exciting. My spoils from the Dealers Room were:
1 Kino Art Book, 1 Last Exile Sketchbook, Ichigo Mashimaro v5, 1 L*S doujin, 2 Touhou doujins, 1 Hayate doujin, 2 Eureka 7 doujins, 1 Bamboo Blade doujin, 1 Macross Frontier doujin, and when I handed Wildarms some money to go get me something from the wonderful people at Hen Da Ne, he brought me back 2 Card Captor Sakura doujins. I lol’d. I almost bought DVD’s and figures, etc, but as Link pointed out, I could get it all cheaper on the internet.
Briefly met Sub after the JAM concert, and was sad to see that he wasn’t on fire with burning passion. I mean, he was probably on fire, but not in the literal sense as I half expected him to be. But then I guess he’d be dead now, and nobody would want that.
Touhou panel was lawl. Fansubber and Industry panel was lawl. Mistakes of Youth meetup was lawl. On that note, expect me to appear in the Friday section (and maybe Saturday?) of the upcoming MoY podcast. That is if Wildarms doesn’t cut out all the terrible things I said.
Code Geass post will happen within 24 hours of this post. Now that the series is improving, I’m finally going to stop posting seriously about it and go back to being random and stupid. And I still need to make a damn post about Xam’d, though I guess I’ll wait until I’ve seen ep. 4.
That is all.

You have to understand, I rocked out to exhaustion during that show. I used up all my burning spirit right there and then. My arms still hurt. They are going to hurt in the morning.
> My arms still hurt.
Not nearly enough people showed up, but the ones that did pumped those fucking fists, and that’s what really matters.
