Code Geass R2 Ep. 16

As most people should realize, episode 16 showcased the best 6 seconds of anime this year.

I’ve never liked Suzaku, and I’ve been pretty on and off about my judgment of his character, but the fact that he had this coming seems to me rather undeniable. I knew he’d take a few hits to the face in the same way that I know Roro is going to bite it before the series is over.

Moe C.C. was cuter than I ever could have expected, and she still retains her love of pizza, as anyone could have guessed. I figured she’d have a fear of technology, but seeing her hide from Milly’s news report was just adorable.

Everything is being set into motion for the finale, and Charles actually seems happy to challenge Lelouch for the fate of the world, though at this point, it seems obvious that the main “villian” of sorts will be Schneizel. Nothing makes me angrier than Nina’s nonchalant attitude towards nuking the Japanese, though I guess the asshole Knight of Ten does a pretty good job too.

While there are many things that we can obviously expect to see soon, there’s just as much that’s bound to be brought up sooner or later. The fate of Kallen and Cornelia as prisoners, the history of Anya, the betrayal of the Black Knights, and what exactly Jeremiah had to say to Guilford are the questions I’ve got. In the meantime I’ll be satisfied with a good war, and repeatedly watching Kallen’s 7-hit combo.
