There we go, Code Geass. That’s good stuff (lol V for Vendetta.) Would’ve posted earlier today but I’ve been listening to Touhou music and watching this flash nonstop.
So the main reasons I love the show should be rather obvious by this point, but those things are just the mindless entertainment value. Episode 8 showcased the other side of Code Geass I love: the wonderful character relationships. Of course, Kure-nai does it better, but that’s another point entirely. This was an episode for reunions. Characters coming back together again, which is hopefully a reflection of the fact that the future of the show is starting to come together. The mass exodus of Zeros was the perfect way to resolve the peace-talk nonsense, and if you’re wondering how Zero managed to get those million people to leave Japan with him:

“Attention People of Japan! Your free Zero costume comes with complimentary loli-snuggles!” – It was probably something like that.
Other reunions were the slightly depressing meeting between Ogi and Villetta, and my favorite moment of the episode.

I’m hoping the fact that he chose to reveal himself to Sayoko means she’s going to play a much bigger role now. I had always felt that she may have known from the start, but the look of surprise on her face before she smiles destroys that idea. We also got a lot more Nina this episode, and she’s so darn cute when she’s not a crazy person. Well, I guess she’s always a crazy person. Crazy is the new moe?
Apparently they needed a scene to remind us of Suzaku’s “Live” Geass command from last season, but it felt unnecessary considering he probably would’ve taken the guy out without it. I guess it served the purpose of conveying his confusion as to why Zero would kill Euphy when he saved Suzaku, but adding that to the whole candle-scene and Nina’s talk with Schneizel, we still spent about 5 minutes too many talking about that dumb woman. Here’s a clue, Suzaku. He killed her because she was a stupid character and nobody wanted to listen to her anymore. GOD.
And next week we get no episode, which will probably happen a lot this season. Now I need to come up with other things to post about.
Oh, I sense some Euphy hate. :P
lol, moe and crazy have always been synonymous. Anyway, best ep of season so far IMO
