I guess I’ll start by mentioning that I’m disappointed in fansubbers. Yes, I am complaining about a free service :V
Why has nobody bothered to sub Real Drive, Kaiba, or Toshokan Sensou yet? I’m not upset about it, and I can wait, but I’m confused over why nobody ever prioritizes the right shows (“Right” being the shows I want to watch :/ ). I really need to just man up and learn Japanese, but in the meantime, I’ll sit here and cry about the fact that the subbers for Aria and Shion no Ou died somewhere.
As for second impressions, my opinion of Macross Frontier is still up in the air, but it certainly does a lot of things right. Kure-nai looks like it’ll be a keeper for numerous reasons, especially the fact that Murasaki isn’t annoying at all. The same goes for Soul Eater, which I think I’ll love even more after the introduction of Death the Kid. While I feel this way mostly due to his two cute sidekicks and the fact that I can identify with his OCD, I’m actually rather fond of his design. If he ends up acting like he looks (read: emo), then I’ll probably hate him, but he seems fun all-around and cool when he’s angry, something I can’t say about episode 2’s “star”, who was a little bitch. The great thing about Ninjas? They are silent. I don’t want to hear a word out of their mouths, because if anime has taught me anything, it’s that ninjas are all a bunch of assholes. But yeah:

Not too shabby.
As for other shows I’ve gotten around to watching, Kamen no Maid Guy, the one show that looked by far the most hilarious, was extremely juvenile and hardly amusing. I’m not 13 anymore, and this shit isn’t making me laugh. Not that I don’t sometimes enjoy this sort of thing, but it’s all about the presentation, and Maid Guy just fails.

JUST FAILS.
Golgo 13 on the other hand is as mature as it gets, and it’s been a long time coming. I think we’ve all needed a show like this as a change of pace. Golgo 13 does what so many series fail to accomplish: it takes itself completely seriously without becoming garbage. I don’t want to laugh when I’m watching G13, I want to smile mischievously as I watch Duke blow some people’s brains out. I don’t want to hear a joke when I can instead hear the bullet from a modded sniper rifle whistle through the air as it approaches the head of an unlucky hijacker. I don’t even want to have sex, because I’d rather watch Duke fuck a prostitute so hard that she wants to cancel her other appointments and keep going all night. Wait, no. Scratch that last one.
Finally, Kyouran Kazoku Nikki could be a gem, but it all depends on which characters get the most focus. In other words, the less we see of Kyouka, the better. Hyperactive, conceited, violent women aren’t my type. The abused daughter, the awkward son, the incredible jellyfish, the talking lion, and Alice Carrol are all great though.

If you pretend that’s an oar in his hand, this is still the worst photochop I’ve ever done. And I assume you’ve watched Aria, or else you’ll be completely lost at this point.
As a final and unrelated note, I finished and enjoyed Chocotto Sister. It wasn’t anything special, but hey, why not watch another show where Kugimiya Rie plays a tsundere loli? It’s not like that’s getting old at all. Next on my watch list is To Terra and I guess I’ll finally watch Mai Hime.
Toshokan Sensou was a major one I was looking forward to, come on subbers get with it…
It would have been much better if you had done that with Tamaki from Bamboo Blade instead of Alice. :P
