Dragonaut has ended. Yes, Dragonaut: A series where characters literally win through the “power of love.” NO. SERIOUSLY. Their love actually manifests and does shit. What in god’s name were they thinking?
I guess it isn’t just love they fight with, but also a good bit of manpower. Or should I say, DRAGONPOWER! - Important Note. This joke was USED IN THE SHOW. So what does Dragonaut have going for it? Well it certainly has bad writing and godawful CG on it’s side, and I guess it has great character designs if you like your breasts to be freakishly huge.
I actually feel guilty now for posting this image. I really do. I don’t even know what’s going on here, but what I do know is that you are looking at only the top 45% of her friggin boobs.
Of course, this is being unfair. While I’m completely serious about everything else about this show being utter crap, and I mean that as harshly as possible, some of the women are quite attractive (the images are huge by the way).
Excluding what has to be the most blatant man-love I’ve ever seen in a heterosexual show, the best part of the series, and I guess by that I mean the most laughable, is the wardrobe. If it were just one character I’d go into detail, but it’s everybody. All of them. But what the hell, let’s now take a gander at Dragonaut’s most out of place character, Gio.
This is Gio’s Glam Rock outfit. I can only assume at this point in the show he was scouring the land for the perfect place to hold his ultimate concert. As terrible as this sounds, it probably would’ve been cooler than what actually happened…What’s that? You’re not impressed?! Well prepare to get your socks rocked, because

Also, Gio’s costume pales in comparison to things like Kazuki’s INTENSE, OBSESSIVE hunt for him early on, where every word anyone says reminds him of GIOOOOOOOOOOO.

I wll skip talking about Toa, but she was so cute, I have to use kawaii instead. Anyway, let’ move onto Gio.
Gio is muthafuckin’ hard,core. Did you guys even watch he show? Did you see his fights, and his power ups? He was seriously just completely badass. His personality and demeanor are up there with other badasses like Victor from Busou Renkin, and Neeba from Tower or Druaga, Spitfire from AirGear, Kaze fro Final Fantasy Unlimited. The artistry is amazing. Dammit. Take just about any screen shot of Gio, and he JUST LOOKS COOL. His clothes, his hair, that tight sword of his. And when he became Thanatos Successor, and wore the costume pictured above, that is also cool.
I think you guys don’t know how to wacth or appreciate Anime. It’s so annoying when people complain about stupid shit. It’s an anime series, wtf do you want them to do? The same lame stuff you do in real life? Also, ths lovey-dovey was not that bad. I watched all of G Gundam so I know what I’m talking about. Dragonaut was kind enough to have that include that type of thing from the get go.
Also, they ha d a very well developed storyline. Just about every episode starts with a snippet from the past to help fill in what is going on and why. It takes insight and though to build that into your series - similar to how Gundam 00 almost always ended with a picture of someone who died in that episode.
When you add to all of this some very good BGM, and a good opening and ending song, you have a wonderful anime. DRAGONAUT ROCKED! It started well, and ended well.
Stop being such skeptical jerks, otherwise go read mange and leave anime for people who aren’t so close minded.

Thank you so much for this comment. I have waited for so long to receive a comment in defense of Dragonaut, so I could reassure myself that, as bad as my taste may be at times, there is always somebody worse.
The thing about Dragonaut that makes it so different from other series I bash is that when I say it’s awful, I’m not making a statement of opinion, but rather fact. Dragonaut is so bad that it’s literally unbelievable. I couldn’t even laugh at it’s stupidity as I watched each episode because I was in such awe of the fact that a series so disgustingly atrocious could even be made in the first place.
I’m going to guess that you are either A) Under the age of 14 or B) Mentally handicapped. Whichever the case, you should probably realize that nobody will ever take you seriously if you mention this series in a positive light, and if you use words like “skeptical” when you clearly don’t know what they mean.
