A third season of Gyagu Manga Biyori is quickly approaching. Sadly, the second season was never fully subbed, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see the new season suffer the same fate. As is rather obvious from the title, Gyagu Manga is a gag show that reminds me a good deal of other shows I’ve praised here, namely Colorful and Oruchuban Ebichu. Anyone who has ever encountered high school guys knows that toilet/sex related humor is probably the easiest and most common, but unlike other shows, Gyagu Manga is a lesson in comic diversity.
That’s bullshit, sorry. Gyagu Manga isn’t diverse in any sense of the word. It’s just people screaming about the most random shit, and there are times when it is just perfect. I nearly died at least twice watching this thing.
It would seem that everything is funnier when yelled loudly. I was out with a friend of mine at KFC, and we were talking about a guy we both knew who had a bit of a temper problem. In an effort to be humorous, I took a bite of chicken and suddenly threw down my drumstick and yelled out one of his favorite exclamations. He thought it was pretty funny, and I might have too if I didn’t start choking on my food. I couldn’t breathe. I literally thought I was going to pass out. That’s Gyagu Manga.
Of course, this type of thing isn’t for everyone, so don’t bother if you don’t think you’ll be interested, but everyone else, watch it. The whole first season is only an hour long. While you’re at it, I encourage you once again to watch the other two shows I mentioned earlier (for those with terrible memory, Ebichu and Colorful).
Here’s a taste:
Well, fuck. My one and only youtube upload gets removed for a copyright claim by the TV Station. Get a damn clue. I was using the video to promote your series. Idiots. (For some reason, the video is still playing on my page despite being removed from youtube? It will probably stop working soon.)
You’re, not your :V
orz
yeah, I’m going to watch this now.
ah fuckin love it
I figured you would.
Gyagu Manga Biyori is an anime that is about absolutely nothing. It is comprised of 12 short stories (5 minutes long each) that only build up a small amount of plot for each story. The anime feeds off the stupidest things, but is quite humorous.
fantastic!gyaguastic!mangastic!biyoristic!
RArRARrRArRRArrRArRRARArrR
this anime has the best opening and ending songs..
@jons – ok.. you didn’t have any flash backs or associations on any of the episodes.. so what? that doesn’t mean they don’t exist. On the contrary I would classify this as a regular gag coz it is full of parodies on contemporary life.
